Robert Difazio was a Managing Director and the Co-Head of Global Equities at Citigroup. He was instrumental in building the global equity platform through both acquisition and development.
Subsequent to the the merger of Salomon Brothers merger with Smith Barney in 1997, Robert managed Schroeder Salomon Smith Barney in the United Kingdom and Europe, the Nikko SSB joint venture in Japan, as well as the acquisition of the Australian equity business of County NatWest.
Since leaving Citigroup, Robert has been active in a New York-based private equity and consulting firm focusing on incubating and capital raising for formative firms in the financial sector and with a privately held company developing environmentally friendly, alternative energy technologies. He is currently the managing partner of Metedeconk Capital, a family office, the chief financial officer of Phoenix Power Group, and the chairman of SL-x Group.
